| | | Independence Day Of Indonesia | Wednesday, August 12, 2009 | Wednesday 12th August 2009, SGS had an event to celebrate the 64th independence day of Indonesia. All students and parents from the Toddler, Playgroup, Kindergarten and Primary class as were invited and participated to play the games.
There were 6 games and many prizes prepared. The first game was fishing, where the child had to catch the fish in a big pail by themselves without any tools. “Even though it’s difficult, all children were very happy,” said Ms. Dessy as a stand keeper.
Another game was Lucky 17, where the player had to throw the ball against the number board, and the total of the all numbers must equal 17. “Parents like to play this game so much,” said Ms.Dian. Another game is the Pop Balloons, where the player had to throw the arrow into the balloon that was filled with water. “I like being a keeper in this stand, it is so wet everywhere,” said Ms. Natalia.
The next game was Ring on Red, where the player had to throw the ring onto the red rubber mat between the other colors. “This game is hard,” said Ms. Leticia.
The next 2 games were competition games, they were Sponge Bob and Throw the Ball. In these games, the players play as a team and compete against each other to win 1st prize. Beside the stand games, there were 2 food stands. They served Chocolate Fondue and Pop Corn. “You had to exchange 2 coupons to get food,” said Ms. Ika and Ms. Ina as stand keepers.
Mr. Wu, MC (Master of Ceremony) of this event, enjoyed his job. Using the huge microphone, he spoke shouted and laughed to cheer on the events. And also, one of the students from Kindergarten B, Jessica, liked to help him as MC too. “She is so funny,” said Mr. Wu.
Last but not least, Mr. Putu, leader of the events wanted to say, “Thanks God this event was successful. I hope next year, we can recreate the event greater than this. For all the teachers and students as participants, thank you for your support and teamwork.”
