| | | | | The Miracle Of Christmas |
Wednesday, December 23, 2009 | | On the last day of school, December 23th 2009, SGS celebrated our Christmas event. We called this event “The Miracle of Christmas”. This event started at 08.40 am.
The principal speech opened this event and was followed by the upper classes performance. That performance was “Summer Holiday”, a short drama by Primary students and Mr. Jim. After that, there was a singing perfromance by PG-B. That performance was "Little Santa Claus”. On the stage, each girl student wore a red clothes and each boy student wore a green clothes. They sang “Frosty the Snowman” and danced together.
After that, all of us sang a Christmas Carol with Santa. Yeah, Santa Claus came to Surabaya Grammar School !!! All of students were very happy and interested to get closer to Santa. This Christmas Carol, we sang was “We Wish You A Merry Christmas” together. Before that, Matthew (PG-A1), Kenneth (PG-A4), Edward (PG-A1) and Margery (PG-A1), they sang a song on the stage.
Another performance was modern dance performance by K-A, K-B and Primary student. On the stage, they danced was “Under the Sea”. It was the nice performance. Next, a “Mandarin Medley Song”, a performance by the Chinese Club students. The student sang 5 chinese songs and danced together. It was the nice performance. All the parents gave them a big applause.
The performance that students were waiting for so much was “Secret Santa”. In this event, each student from Toddler, Playgroup, Kindergarten and Primary received a gift from Santa and had their picture taken with Santa. This was a precious moment that they will not forget in their lifetime.
Last but not least, the teachers also had a performance for Christmas. We sang and danced “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”. After that, Kindergarten and Primary students still had an activity, that was “Exchange Gift”, where they had to exchange and give their gift to another student.
The “Miracle of Christmas” finished at 10.40 am. May this Christmas event bring us happiness for now and forever.
