| | | | | Kindergarten Eid Al Fitr & Independence Daycelebration |
Friday, August 22, 2014 | | SGS celebrated two big events simultaneously, Eid Al Fitr and Independence Day celebrations on Friday, 22nd August 2014. On that day, all K1 and K2 students wore yellow and green clothes. There were so many fun activities during the celebrations. In the morning, all K2 students and teachers attended an Independence Day assembly. Besides, all K1 classes had story telling sessions about Independence Day in their own classes. The students were also involved in some kinds of games, such as moving flags and putting short straws into bottles in our school hall. Both K1 and K2 students also made Eid Al Fitr card. They wrote on the cards and coloured them. Cookies parties were also included in the celebrations. The students shared the cookies they brought with their classmates; and brought home the shared cookies as well. Through the cookies party, the students learned about sharing with others.
